Many folks along the way have asked me where the name "Wee Bit" came from. Anyone who knows me . . . knows I love all things Irish. From what I've found the term originated in Ireland/Scotland and was actually an endearing term for children and a quasi shortcut for a little bit.
For two years I tossed the name back and forth googling it to be sure no one else had used it. Along the way I found this poem by Helen Steiner Rice, that made me fall in love with the name that much more. And when it came time to dot the i's and cross the t's - in early 2010 . . . everything just came together.
"A wee bit of heaven
drifted down from above-
A handful of happiness,
a heart full of love.
The mystery of life,
so sacred and sweet-
The giver of joy
so deep and complete.
Precious and priceless,
so lovable, too-
The world's sweetest miracle, baby, is you."
